Managed Farm Production: Pankop Farm

Diretsogetse actively strives to develop and to support upcoming farmers of raw materials with a range of services to meet practical realities in their developmental and farm business environment. Focused theoretical and practical training are provided to contracted upcoming farmers to ensure that the raw materials to be delivered to the Diretsogetse processing plant meet national and international requirements.

The training includes the selection of preferred cultivars for specific agricultural areas, season of planting and which cultivars are suitable for dehydration. The seed companies play an important role in the selection and production practices definition. The Pankop Farm and training centre provide a healthy training environment by providing an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a real life situation.

Services provided by StratViz Management Services to the train upcoming farmers: Project development support, employing farmers on a contract basis, continual integrated project management services, input financing and account administration, assistance in farmer production quality.

Contracted developing farmers are continuously supported and monitored to ensure that both the quality and quantity of the contracted product is available to the Pankop processing plant.

This would also ensure economically viable and sustainable farm production activities on a commercial scale.
